Tips for cooking seafood Well

If you are going to cook Spider Crab or Edible Crab, make sure they are dead, soaking them in usalted lukewarm water (approx. 30 min) so that the legs do not come loose.
Put sufficient water in a pot to cover all the shelfish.

Add 30 or40g. cooking salt for every litre of water.

Add the shelfish and when the water starts to boil, count the time according to the following weight table:

  • Goose Barnacles..................1 minute
  • Prawns..............2½ minutes
  • Periwinkles................3 minutes
  • Norway lobster ( 100 grs).....3 minutes  
  • elvet swimming crabs....................5 minutes

  • 500 grs......................8 minutos
  • 600 grs......................9 minutos
  • 700 grs......................10 minutos
  • 800 grs......................11 minutos

  • 1500 grs....................18 minutos
